I love this condo. I lived there for 8 years! In away I grew up (into an adult) there. It is bittersweet for me to list the condo for sale. I am excited of things to come, but sad because I love it so much. When I purchased my beloved first home, it was completely outdated. The entire place was original to 1972, when it was built. The first thing I did was replace the floors and paint! The living room was Pepto Bismol pink, with blue carpet and BLUE CROWN MOLDING! I love pink....but not that much! So I painted it a cream color with white crown molding and installed a nice medium color laminate. The master bedroom was completely seafoam green-even the carpet, I quickly changed that to cream as well! The second bedroom was BROWN with dark brown carpet....again the chosen color in my early 20's must have been cream---as that was the color palette too! The kitchen had dark brown cabinets with beige laminate counters. I changed the wall color in the kitchen. As time went on and over the years, I began updating the condo. It seemed every year I did one major remodel. The first year it was the floors. Then came the re painting of the condo, I painted the great room (living and dining room) beige. The family room/den had wall paper that I tore down and painted beige too. The kitchen was remodeled by Sears ($15,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in 2008 and new appliances ($3,000). I picked light blond cabinets with dark Corian counter tops. The AC unit was original to the building....so I updated that ($5,000) to a custom pancake unit AC, with a digital temperature control. I replaced the garage door opener. Next came the bathrooms ($6,000). They were something..... to begin with! The guest bath was light pink, with light pink tiles and just dated. So I chose white/gray marbley tiles with a gorgeous granite counter, and lovely white cabinet. The master bath was SEAFOAM green! And that was updated to neutral beige and beige marbley tile and beige granite counter tops. Both bathrooms have inlay of glass tile in the showers with elongated updated toilets. The condo has all new window coverings too.
Nick and I lived in the condo for 2 years and once I found out I was pregnant was when we decided to list it.
I do hope someone will love it as much as I do. It is in a wonderful location with 2 blocks to downtown DP and the train.
