The story of Rocco
Rocco is my sweet special boy, just as Domi is. I was rushed to the hospital via ambulance on 12/19 in a towel. My husbands birthday is 12/18- the day I became unable to walk. I tried to grin and bear it, because I didn't want to ruin his birthday!!! At 6am on 12/19 after laying awake all night, I woke nick and told me I needed to be brought to the ER. My pain levels were rising and I was unable to walk due to the pain in my back and leg. I prayed to God, St. Rocco, St. Gemma and mary for strength to get me through. I attempted to take a shower (very bad idea). Paramedics were called and to my horror I was brought to LGH in a towel. I remained in the hospital for a week. Rocco's birth was induced after meeting with many specialists to determine what was wrong. He was born early at 36.5 weeks, weighing 7.7 lbs and 20 1/4 inches on 12/23 at 652pm. Shelley, nick, and mormor were there as my coaches. We laughed the whole 45minutes of my pushing. Luckily the epidural took my pain away temporarily, allowing for a smooth delivery. Domi came into visit Rocco right after his birth. Rocco was induced early so I was able to have back surgery right after. I had 3 bulging discs that were compressing my sciatic nerve severely.

35 1/2 weeks
I made it! I made it this far! This pregnancy has been very different from Dominick's. Both very special and exciting-however due to the proximity of the babies-this one very painful. It has been a long "rocky road" and we cabs wait to meet him!
We had a dr appointment yesterday. I was having strong intermittent back pain and contractions, and was hooked up to the monitor. Cervix was dilated to 1 cm. Dr said if I was further along he would've kept me and helped this "along"!!! Ahgggg,...just do it now! Then he said he didn't think I'd need to meet his backup dr for when he is on vacation (12/27-1/6). I still predict he is coming 12/29-1/3. But if he was born sooner-that would be fab!

We read this book about 10-20 times a day! Dom brings it to us to read!
Baby boy #2
At 30w 3d we had an ultrasound (11/11). I haven't gained much weight (around 10 lbs) and have been having severe pelvic girdle pain due to my SI joint. So the Dr wanted to check baby, and we got a treat to see him!
He is looking beautiful!!! Growing proportionally, but big! 4 lbs and 12 oz already....so measuring 3-4 weeks bigger than his gestational age.
He is laying transverse...so hopefully he will move to heads down position.

Holding cup, feeding self
Dominick started holding his own cup and feeding himself pretty much in the same day! He has been doing this for a week now! Started on 8/26.

Official crawling 8/14/13
Dom is officially crawling on all fours. Since he is so huge...it is a lot of mass to move, so he has to be pretty strong to be doing this!

Pushing up to all fours
Yesterday (7/9/13) our lil big man started pushing himself up on to all fours. He belly crawls and is fast (!!!)....full crawling in his future? He is a big boy, off the charts with weight and height..not fat...just big and solid...it's a lot of mass to move.....so he might crawl soon????
